CURRENT JOB OPPORTUNITIES

  • 1st Shift 6a-2:30p

    Operates multiple machines and equipment which could include flow wrappers, mixers, sheeters, extruders, etc... Follows checklists, is an independent worker, mechanically inclined, completes forms with lot codes and temperatures. Bilingual/English.

  • 2nd Shift 1p-9:30p

    Provides emergency repair support to production lines, performs preventative maintenance, monitors systems such as the steam boiler, ammonia refrigeration, nitrogen freezing, spiral freezers, gas-fired tunnel ovens, product metal detection, air compressors, and HVAC. Ensures that the building is secure; doors closed and locked. Provides general repairs and support to maintain the building, grounds, and overall functionality of the plant and production lines.

  • 3rd Shift 9p-5:30a

    Provides emergency repair support to production lines, performs preventative maintenance, monitors systems such as the steam boiler, ammonia refrigeration, nitrogen freezing, spiral freezers, gas-fired tunnel ovens, product metal detection, air compressors, and HVAC.   • 2nd Shift 2p-10:30a

    Monitors all regulatory documentation on the floor, assist and trains those completing the documentation, assists in monitoring GMP’s, HACCP, USDA, and FDA requirements, completes plant audits, provides assistance and guidance to product quality improvements.

  • As an integral member of the production leadership team, you will be responsible for providing support to production supervisors and when required, other staff members in the department. Working with the Executive Operations’ Team Production Manager must be able to improve working conditions (safety quality of product, productivity, waste cost) and cultivate development skills and knowledge standards for subordinates. Ability to improve a system of production control and standard operating procedure while maximizing efficiency outputs. Must lead employees in a food manufacturing environment by planning work assignments to employees as production schedule require as well as be exemplary leaders in the follow through of all Company policies and procedures primarily, GMP guidelines.

  • Responsibilities |

    • Oversee the development, implementation, review, management, and maintenance of the plant’s SQF System.

    • In partnership with QA Manager and technicians, validate changes to food safety fundamentals and HACCP Plan that have an impact on the ability to deliver safe, quality food products.

    • Responsible to maintain pre-requisite programs and documents organized and in current standing

    • Sampling, inspection and analysis for food safety

    • In partnership with QA Manager and technicians schedule internal audits for food safety.

    • Ensure SQF training is conducted for required team members within plant.

    • Solely responsible in maintaining and organizing all forms and specs in a document controlled environment.

    Successful Factors | Minimum Requirements |

    • Two year college degree or equivalent with 2-3 years of relevant work experience

    • SQF Practitioner preferred

    • Knowledge on HACCP & Document Control a must

    • Organized and detailed oriented a must

    • Bilingual | English & Spanish a plus

    • Solid interpersonal skills with all levels of management & staff

    • Solid computer skills

    • Solid written and communication skills

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES | SUCCESSFUL FACTORS

    Troubleshoots, repairs and conducts preventative maintenance. Also includes but is not limited to the following:

    1. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

    2. Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.

    3. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.

    4. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

    5. Comply with OSHA Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (gmps) and food defense guidelines

    6. Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    1.High School Diploma or equivalent education from a Vocational Technical School

    2.Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment in a food manufacturing environment preferred

    3.3-5 years of related experience in packing machines/production machines

    4.Must be flexible to work weekends when required

    5. Experience in refrigeration, electrical, gas oven burners a plus
